Cub Scout Pack 212

Cub Scout Logos Grouped

Cub Scout Pack 212 serves the boys and girls who are in grades kindergarten to fifth grade. Our mission is to instill strong character values in our youth, while giving them a chance to have fun and learn about our world.

The purposes of Cub Scouting are physical fitness, character development, leadership, and citizenship. However if you ask a scout, however, they’ll seldom offer these reasons for being a Cub Scout. They have one reason to join Cub Scouts, and that’s to have FUN! Our Pack has a program that provides youth (and their families) a lot of fun! We invite you to come and see just what scouting is all about.

All meetings are on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM at Christ The Vine Lutheran Church. We also have outdoor adventures, summer camping trips, and some awesome local summer camps to attend. Please see more information, including contact info, on our Facebook page at our Damascus Cub Scout Pack 212 Facebook page.

Scouts BSA Troop 212

Boy Scout Logo

Scouts BSA Troop 212 offers an exciting scout-led program backed by the mentoring of adult volunteers. Most of our scouts live in the nearby community, but we welcome boys from any area who are interested in joining Scouting.

Boys in the troop are 11 – 18 years old. Scouts is about building character, developing personal fitness, and learning leadership and citizenship. These goals are achieved in a challenging outdoor program. The adventure of hiking, camping, swimming, boating, high-adventure challenges, and touring is woven into the program. Our year-round program is put together by the scouts and features monthly camping trips, a week long summer camp, and a week long high adventure trip in the summer as well.

Empowering the boys to be leaders is at the core of the Troop 212 scouting program. Scouts learn by doing, and what they do is lead their patrols and their troop. The boys themselves develop a troop program, then take responsibility for figuring out how they will achieve the goals.
