Pastor Mike Kasting

Pastor Mike retired from fulltime ministry in 2015 after 43 years of serving five congregations in four states. He is husband to Sue, father of three children, and grandfather to ten.

Born in Indiana, he now lives in Oregon City. At Christ the Vine, he enjoys teaching an adult Bible class on Thursday mornings and the youth confirmation class on Tuesday evenings.

He serves the wider church as a curriculum writer for Living Way Bible Study and as a mentor for Nathan Schmidt, a seminary student serving his internship at Christ the Vine.

Among the activities he enjoys are reading, gardening, stamp collecting, fishing, and rooting for the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team. He’d love to get to know you and listen to your story!
