Confirmation

The formal instruction that leads to confirmation is founded in Martin Luther’s Small Catechism and is designed to clarify Christian doctrine and teach the life of the Church to Christians. The process of confirmation is taken up in continuing fulfillment of the promise made to a child when they are baptized – a promise made by parents, sponsors, and congregation to teach the child the Holy Scriptures and to instruct them in the Faith. Confirmation class generally meets one evening per week during the school year.
