Community Assistance Needed

Damascus Centennial Park (located next to Bimart) …is in need of some renovations
and the Damascus Civic Club has asked us to get this information out to all of our congregation members. This year they plan to have all projects completed before “Day in Damascus,” scheduled for July 25h. Our DCC Community Foundation is seeking a grant to repair the fence, but we need YOUR help.DCC have signed with Pacific Fence and Wire, but before fence repairs or replacement can begin, they need to remove all vegetation from either side to allow the fence people complete access.
We have divided the work into phases, and Phase One will be along the park’s west fence line — the Bi-Mart side of our park. There is a bit of work in this phase on the east side, but no vegetation removal is necessary there. Several folks walked that fence line this week and decided we need a minimum of two work days. These will be:
Saturday, May 9th from 9 AM until 3 PM
Saturday, June 13th from 9 AM until 3PM
Lunch will be provided on both days.
They will need volunteers to bring any hand pruners, loppers, chain saws, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, pickup trucks for hauling, etc. We have reserved a stump grinder and a chipper from B&R Rentals for both dates.
